SIZING: Because each piece is made for you, it is absolutely necessary that you determine your correct size before ordering. Ring sizing kits are widely available and I would encourage you to order one before investing in a piece of custom jewellery. For wide bands, I recommend sizing up a quarter to half-size.
The Murmuration Cutout Ring is a handmade sterling silver ring where the flock becomes the structure. Each bird is saw pierced and hand engraved, flying in an unbroken line around the finger. Cut directly from polished 925 sterling silver, the negative space between the birds lets light move through the ring, giving it an open, fluid quality.
I make this handmade silver ring in my Glasgow, Scotland studio. The polished surface highlights the engraved feather detail, while the cutout design keeps the band feeling light and wearable despite its visual presence. The birds sit proud of the finger, wrapping the hand with motion that reveals itself as you turn your hand and catch the light.

Customs & import fees
Buyers in the United States should be aware that tariffs imposed by the US Government will increase the base cost of each piece. We will pay these in advance to hasten clearance customs and avoid any surprise charges on receipt.
For customers outside the UK and USA, your order may be subject to import duties or customs fees once it arrives in your country. These are determined locally, so it’s worth checking in advance so you’re not surprised. Unfortunately I can’t cover or refund these charges.
If an item is returned to me because customs fees weren’t paid, I can issue a refund (minus shipping) once it’s safely back with me.
Sterling silver loves to be worn — your skin’s natural oils actually help keep it bright. When you’re not wearing it, tuck it away in an airtight pouch to slow down tarnish.
Keep it dry and away from lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products (they’re not its friends). When it needs a little refresh, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth — no dips or harsh cleaners, especially on oxidised pieces.
We’ll include a polishing cloth with every piece of jewellery. If it starts to look a bit dull, give it a gentle polish, avoiding areas that have oxidation (the blackened bit of silver).
