SIZING: Because each piece is made for you, it is absolutely necessary that you determine your correct size before ordering. Ring sizing kits are widely available and I would encourage you to order one before investing in a piece of custom jewellery. For wide bands like this, I recommend sizing up a quarter to half-size.
The Mitsuro Hikime Wave Ring is a one of a kind handmade sterling silver ring shaped slowly by hand. Using the traditional Mitsuro Hikime wax technique, the wax is folded and pressed into layered, fluid forms before casting. The result feels like water gathering and shifting, with visible lines that record the movement of the hands that made it. It’s chunky, sculptural, and quietly absorbing to look at.
I form the wax for this handmade silver ring in my Glasgow, Scotland studio, then send it out for professional casting in 925 sterling silver before finishing it by hand. The surface holds a mix of soft polish and subtle texture, catching light along the ridges while keeping depth in the folds. It sits comfortably on the finger, with weight that feels intentional and settled.
This Mitsuro Hikime ring invites attention without demanding it. The folded form wraps the finger in a way that feels natural and steady, like something shaped by time rather than force. It’s wearable sculpture. A piece you notice more the longer you live with it.

Customs & import fees
Buyers in the United States should be aware that tariffs imposed by the US Government will increase the base cost of each piece. We will pay these in advance to hasten clearance customs and avoid any surprise charges on receipt.
For customers outside the UK and USA, your order may be subject to import duties or customs fees once it arrives in your country. These are determined locally, so it’s worth checking in advance so you’re not surprised. Unfortunately I can’t cover or refund these charges.
If an item is returned to me because customs fees weren’t paid, I can issue a refund (minus shipping) once it’s safely back with me.
Sterling silver loves to be worn — your skin’s natural oils actually help keep it bright. When you’re not wearing it, tuck it away in an airtight pouch to slow down tarnish.
Keep it dry and away from lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products (they’re not its friends). When it needs a little refresh, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth — no dips or harsh cleaners, especially on oxidised pieces.
We’ll include a polishing cloth with every piece of jewellery. If it starts to look a bit dull, give it a gentle polish, avoiding areas that have oxidation (the blackened bit of silver).
