Description
These handmade sterling silver ear climbers trace the curve of your ear with four domed silver dots that move from small to large. Also known as ear crawlers, ear vines, or ear sweeps, they give the look of several earrings from a single lobe piercing. You can wear them two ways: threaded so the dots climb up the ear, or rotated to hang as a drop.
They’re solid 925 sterling silver. Ear climbers are lightweight and designed to stay in place without a backing. This piece belong to my Murmuration collection, a little symbolic flock taking wing along the ear.
Made to order in my Glasgow, Scotland studio. Please allow three to four weeks.

- What is an ear climber? An ear climber, also called an ear crawler, ear vine, or ear sweep, is an earring that follows the curve of your ear upward from the piercing instead of hanging down.
- Do I need more than one piercing? No. A single standard lobe piercing is all you need. The design creates the look of several earrings from one hole.
- How do they stay on? The post threads through your piercing and you gently press the back so the climber fits snugly against your ear so it won’t slip.
- Can I wear them hanging down instead of climbing up? Yes. They’re reversible, so you can wear them climbing the ear or rotated to dangle.
All pieces are handmade and created only when ordered. Please allow a 3-4 weeks turnaround. If you need a rush order for a specific date, please contact us before purchase to discuss the possibility.
Customs & import fees
Buyers in the United States should be aware that tariffs imposed by the US Government will increase the base cost of each piece. We will pay these in advance to hasten clearance customs and avoid any surprise charges on receipt.
For customers outside the UK and USA, your order may be subject to import duties or customs fees once it arrives in your country. These are determined locally, so it’s worth checking in advance so you’re not surprised. Unfortunately I can’t cover or refund these charges.
If an item is returned to me because customs fees weren’t paid, I can issue a refund (minus shipping) once it’s safely back with me.
Sterling silver loves to be worn — your skin’s natural oils actually help keep it bright. When you’re not wearing it, tuck it away in an airtight pouch to slow down tarnish.
Keep it dry and away from lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products (they’re not its friends). When it needs a little refresh, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth — no dips or harsh cleaners, especially on oxidised pieces.
We’ll include a polishing cloth with every piece of jewellery. If it starts to look a bit dull, give it a gentle polish, avoiding areas that have oxidation (the blackened bit of silver).
